FINAL BUILD PROTOTYPES
The following prototype cartridges are in public circulation, most of which are currently in the hands of collectors. Although they are pre-release versions, they hold the final build’s data.
Super C Sample:
The internal product code is printed on the label (RD023).
Super C Prototypee:
A plain cartridge containing a prototype of Super C was last known to be owned by user Elijah (formerly JD) on the NintendoAge forums. However, he had passed away and the status of this cartridge is currently unknown.
The checksums written on the chips match the CHR and PRG of the final version, indicating that it is identical:
NTSC-U copies of Probotector II for the NES were created, although only one is confirmed to exist. Currently, the only known copy is still in the hands of one Niels Pit, of the now-defunct Nespit website. He had purchased the sample on eBay, from seller ARMYX, in 2003.

Niels Pit was contacted in an attempt to get the ROM data of this prototype preserved.
Probotector II PAL Sample:
Originally posted by user midget35 of the Lost Level forum. He had obtained it from Future Publishing, Bath, a magazine he had worked for. What is interesting about this sample is that its label is almost identical to the label of the NTSC-U sample of Probotector II. However, the user had the ROM verified as being identical to the final release.

Sold by a collector from Sweden, this prototype cartridge of Probotector II contains the final release of the game.
