OVERVIEW
This compilation of Konami games includes the following directly playable NES games: Castlevania 1-3, Contra and Super Contra (North American releases). A ROM of Jackal for the NES is also present, however, it is unknown if there is an intended method to access and play it. The games simply run off a built-in emulator.
In terms of Super Contra, it is nearly identical to its NES source, with the only differences being the removal of references to Nintendo. The player has the liberty of using a small variety of options typical of an emulator: save/load states (simply considered saving and loading in the game), control customization, sound and video options. For multiplayer games, however, both players must share the same keyboard by default, making it quite inconvenient.
The online game service GameTap signed a deal with Konami and formerly hosted this re-release on their website as a purchasable download (see here).

Cheats
Note: This port of Super Contra allows for the customization of controls. It is assuming the following keyboard configuration for the NES gamepad:
D-Pad – Arrow keys
A – A
B – B
Select – Spacebar
Start – Enter
Adjust the codes below according to your configuration.
10 Lives: At the main menu, press RIGHT, LEFT, DOWN, UP, A, B, START.
For 10 lives in 2 Player mode, use the same code above, but either press SELECT before START or highlight 2 Player mode before entering the code. 10 lives are provided at the start of the game, as well as when continuing after a Game Over.
Sound Test Menu: At the main menu, hold A+B and press START.

-The games featured in this compilation, including Super Contra, are modified NES ROMs (NTSC-U); the program’s executable itself is an NES emulator, officially created by Konami. These NES ROMs are modified from the original NES release, usually with the removal of references to Nintendo (see the title screen above).
-The compilation CD employs the copy protection SECUROM, version 4.82.01.
