Title: Gryzor

The only difference with the PAL version lies in the multiplayer mode, and it is a major difference. Instead of simultaneous play, 2 players take turns in the game. The first person plays until they complete the first stage or lose a life. The game interrupts and the second player begins the first stage, until they also either complete the second stage or lose a life, from which point the game returns to the first player. This cycle repeats.

Assuming one player loses a life midway in a stage, when the game returns to that player, they will start exactly where they were killed. Therefore, the location of respawning is maintained. The reason for this modified multiplayer mode is unknown and rather bizarre. Regardless, Ocean’s CPC and C64 versions of Gryzor use a 2 player mode similar to this.
